Franklin's Bad Day

If you have a bad day, you shouldn't scream at your mom. This is the message we learned in this story. Franklin sent a letter to Otter because he missed her. This is something we can do when we feel bad.
Franklin Plays the Game

Franklin teaches us that if you win or lose it doesn't matter. You are still a good player. He also shows us that it's okay if you lose because your teammates will still be your friends. We learned that you should always work as a team and if you work hard, your team could win.
Franklin Is Bossy
Franklin teaches us that we should not fight with our friends. We need to take turns and let everyone have a chance to pick the game we are going to play. One way to do this is to have the smallest person pick the first game and then move along to the biggest person. If there are different roles in the game, we could take turns at being the different parts. Other ways of handling a disagreement is to not play the game. We thought Franklin should ask his friends if they want to play something, not just tell them. When we don't agree, we can split into groups and play different games.
Franklin's Stopwatch
In this story we learned that you don't have to be the fastest, that you don't need to be good at everything, and that it is more important to beat your own record than others'.
Franklin Plays Hockey

In this story we decided that you have lots of time to learn how to do something like play hockey. We decided that if somebody isn't good at something you should still give them a chance. Sometimes some people have gifts to share that are special or unique to them that will help you. If you are good at something you can help others. It was important for us to recognize that if you lose a game you don't have to cry because you can play another game.
