This
is a fun art activity, that is easy to do and fosters caring for the
environment through recycling. |

toilet
paper rolls (one for each student)

| 2. |
Turtle
template which can be downloaded and printed (one for each student).

pens, crayons or pencil crayons

Glue

What
to do: |

Download
template and make one for each child. |
| 2. |
Have
the children color and cut out the shapes. |
| 3. |
Glue
the rectangular shape to wrap the toilet paper roll. |
| 4. |
Glue
on remaining parts. |

| Let
the children explore!
My students came up with some very
interesting versions of Franklin. Some even put his bowtie
upside-down and around the head, instantly turning Franklin into a female
character. |
